Mr. Albert Mullor

If you. A daring title perfectly adaptable to Albert Mullor's art. Some character he is! So, when having to portray his corresponding Alter Ego I found myself in a complicated situation. That is, of course, because I had too many elements to bare in mind for this illustration.

Like three angles to a triangle, Fashion, photography and personality form Albert's triple sided Ego. If one were to be missed out, It would no longer make any sense. However, the angles which connect these three sides or, in other words, his three most essential aspects in life are: Time for himself, coffee and friends (emphasis on friends). That makes three angle and three sides: one prefect triangle.

Albert Mullor - Mr Mullor as I addressed him - has several unique features. To number a few, his pronounced eyebrows, which perfectly complement his eccentric personality, are one of his features that do not slip out of sight (to me, of course), and... Black, Black Black and Black. I think that makes a pretty clear statement of what his favourite colour is.

Like white to black in a Monochrome photograph, Mr here has an exquisite taste for fashion. His eye is like an aiming dart seeking for details that draw attention, or any kind of authentic attires worth describing as fashionable. I consider his sixth sense to be his own style. Rings and more rings as well as his infinite collection of sun glasses  (I'm pretty sure they are not, explicitly, meant to avoid the sun strays.) are some of his daily accesories. along with these, I must point out studs, tattoos and, last but not least, cigarettes.

In resume, Albert is an inspiring personage.

So there, a brief description to introduce to you all Albert Mullor!

Tons of kisses!
Natasha Schubert

ps: I've tagged his Tumblr on his name, Albert Mullor, so go ahead and see for yourself what I was referring to above!

Perky Clara

I Introduce Clara!

I was waiting for the right moment, and here it is.

I first met Clara when we both changed schools. The weird thing is Hanna had told me about some daughter of her mum’s friend who was going to go to the same school as I, and whose name was Clara. Coincidence? It’s even scary how close we’ve grown in barely two years.

This is one of the reasons why I sometimes doubt if there’s a predetermined or inevitable course of events which some call fate or destiny.  All I know is I couldn’t imagine these past two years without her. We’ve had our ups and downs (mostly ups, thank god!), shared ideas, discussed them, shared tears, gasps, laughs, jokes.... You know the sort that wouldn’t make any sense if I shared with someone else. But, most importantly, we (Clara, Lea and Me) made her dream come true: Paris.

I give you Clara's Jaunty, lively, confident, spirited, bright, bubbly, Perky Alter Ego.

Hope you like it!

Fashion Oxygen

Fashion Oxygen

I introduce you Alice and Gabriela (Gabs) Fenwick

Talking about talent, their sense of Fashion is, to them, like breathing to us. I have known Alice and Gabs for... (give me a sec.. I'm calculating) 4 years already!
Not only did we go to the same school for two years, but we found out we had tons in common! When it comes to describing the Fenwick, I suggest you go and take a peak at their Inspiring Fashion Blog, Fashion Oxygen, and see for your self that they are a pair of perky, down-to-earth, amusing, creative, organized, bright, velvety, ambitious... TWINS.

It was when we were having a tea + carrot cake, that it simply hit me! I had to dedicate them my second post of Alter Ego.
So, here it is, for my favourite pair of twins, the exclusive Alter Ego post for Fashion Oxygen!
Big humongous kiss

(A further description)
As I mentioned beforehand: Fashion, to them, is like breathing to us.
That's precisely what I aimed to represent.

The inverted triangle shaped composition is, by all means, a way of recreating the balance of their complementary personalities.
The chromatic selection gives a sense of airiness that, besides it being suitable for the term oxygen (of Fashion Oxygen), also is the favourite of Alice and Gabs.

After the drawing, painting and splashing, came the editing.

As for the dotted and reptile prints, these are details that portray both of their favourite textile pattern. But, strangely enough, I felt like something was missing. That is when I introduced the smoke wake. In the first copy, as you can see, it gives a more homogeneous result, whilst in the second model I decided to experiment and alter the colour. I thought a little contrast would suit the blues.

Both silhouettes (in the second copy) were also a result of further experimentation. Placing them in the centre gives an illusion of fullness. And last but not least, the Logo. By being in the forefront and slightly below the centre, it becomes the focus from where the drawings spread out.

In other words, this is a portrait of Fashion Oxygen.

With much Love,
NS.

HannaLHayden
I present you Hanna!

Being my oldest friend is one of the best excuses I could have found in order for her to be my first post.
We have practically grown up together, she has stuck up for me, laughed, cried and, well.. the kind of things you do with your best friend. She's kind of a crazy nit-wit sometimes, however, she's always giving me the 'pat on the back' whenever I've worked hard for something or.. on the contrary: she gives me THE look when I'm going crackers. Who ever has a best friend knows what I'm talking about.
Hope you like it Hunnbunn!
I spy with my little eye..I'll make it easier for you,  all it includes portrays Hanna. Every colour, shape, shade, line are details which have been chosen to feature her :)
What she loves?
England, she has recently fallen in love with London, therefore the 'Union Jack' was a must!
Skulls... I just had to! It is definitely her Item! I subtly outlined the flag with a skull's silhouette  just to avoid it looking like it's part of her 'dark side'.
Mind maps! Only Hanna, Daniela Schmidt (proud to say she is also one of my best friends) and I know what I'm referring to.. If you zoom right in, you'll spot a London Underground map (yes, London again. had to be so).
Leopard is her favourite print, it took me by surprise though! Only did I find out when we were debating on what animal print we'd prefer on a pair of 'creepers'.. I said Zebra and she insisted on Leopard.

Hope you like my very first Alter Ego post (you'll get to see one every week!!)
