Super Women.
This week has been, well... Insane! Sometimes I really wonder if we have secret super powers.
Whatever mine is, it has definitely nothing to do with calming down my own nerves.
My colleague, Clara, and I have been working on the 'Treball de Recerca' project for about six months now.
On Tuesday we crossed the finish line! we did our oral presentation on our 150 pages long research. In case you're not familiar with the 'Treball de Recerca', It's a research based on the scientific method. By this I'm referring to: Starting off with a question, speculate a hypothesis, prove it right (or wrong) and draw conclusions. Basically,a Thesis.
We
decided to study the beauty cannon promoted to society by fashion magazines,
the reaction this “ideal” body creates and whether it is appealing or not. As for the conclusions, I have prepared a special post which I have decided to leave it for later on this month.
My point is, besides nearly being harassed by my own nerves, it was so, so, SO gratifying. Once we stepped out of the classroom, we couldn't believe it: we had FINISHED! FINITO!.
Only by recalling the whole process, the amount of time we spent on it and how we managed to combine it all with our studies, made me draw a conclusion: we are, no doubt, Super Women!
The following illustrations demonstrate how I or, better said, we (Clara and I)were adamant to our target. No matter what, nothing would keep us from finishing our 'TR'. Whatever obstacles crossed our paths, we were determined to fight against them.
